Hi! If I'd blogged Saturday morning, as I planned, here's what I would have said:
This weekend, it's my church conference. That means I'll have time to mail everything that's in my backlog. There's a December birthday gift that I need to finish and send off; Valentine cards and Christmas thank you cards; Easter candy to ship; and Easter eggs to die. I'm really really behind. Most important?
Prizes! Prizes that have been done for a while. I just had to take February (and part of March) off to knit a sweater, spend a week in Utah, put on a dinner for the seminary teachers and their spouses, play ipad games and kill balloons with monkey darts. Priorities, you know.
So here's the report on a Monday, during a snowstorm (!!!). I didn't have the bubble pack stuff needed to ship the ships, and the storm may keep me from getting that tonight. Instead, I made pot pies from leftovers. They were cute.
I knitted a lot.
And I listened to eight hours of uplifting talks. Talks that inspire me to be better, to help others more, to reach out to my community. I might need to learn a new language so that I can effectively communicate with refugees, but that might be taking things too far?
I also bought herbal tea and drank it, because knitters do that. I didn't adopt a kitten or puppy, though. So that may disqualify me from the knitting community.
And I dyed Easter eggs. Just because.
I PROMISE that I will mail prizes this week, as soon as I can get to the store for packing materials. Thank you, as always, for your patience.
