I'm a little over my head here, spread a little thin. It's Christmas. But just before Thanksgiving, when I was calm and at peace with my world, I happened to finish this year's prizes. IN THIS VERY SAME YEAR. Well, five of them, but still. It's still 2015. It's a little miracle!
And now you know why we went with a boat theme. I've wanted to make an Ann Wood ship for, well, years. And look! I've made five of them! With a lot more in the works (but not done until January, because Christmas).
These boats were to be monochromatic, ethereal, and a little spooky. Yeah, not so much. But sweet and peaceful aren't bad qualities.
I need to assemble a roll call of those who have played along this year. If you haven't already told me that you finished, let me know before January.
Thank you to all of you who put up with my absences and share your reading with me!
That painting behind the boats is by my friend Jacqui. Look carefully, and you'll see the letters "pax." Letters that I need to remember in this less than peaceful world of ours.
