It is still 2015, right?
Thank you for your thoughts! Let's try doing some reading as the summer ends and fall begins. There's only a few goals, and once they're pasted on the sails the chart looks like a way-too-inspirational poster. But what the heck. I need to read fun things and to be rewarded for doing so.
So are you ready to be inspired? To swashbuckle? To dream? Or to hum? Let's do it!
The file has three pages: one page with labels for the sails; a ship with dashed boxes (to show you where to paste the labels; and a blank ship in case you want to write your own goals.
The annual recitation of the rules:
This reading program isn't meant to make you read lots of books. Instead, it's about snatching short vacations when you can. You're a grown up, so you can change the goals if you want to.
I REPEAT: YOU ARE AN ADULT (OR TEEN). IT'S FUN. YOU CAN MANIPULATE THE GOALS TO FIT YOUR READING NEEDS.
By October 4 (or so), you'll need to report to me some of your favorite reading moments.
There will be prizes for complete charts! But for those of you who are new: fair warning - I'm still working on last year's prizes... This summer has kicked my butt. I've had so many deadlines through work, church, and a community program. It should all die down after this week. I can hope, anyway!
Thanks to Emily Dickinson and Dover Pictura!
