My first bit of celebration after the deadline: joining a couple of the guys at work who are big antiquing fans on their trek to Brimfield.
If you haven't heard of it, Brimfield is somewhere between an antiques show and a flea market, on steroids. Fields full of stuff. The July show is usually quieter and hotter than the other shows, and it lived up to that reputation. I went once before. It was in May. It was snowing. Most dealers had packed up. Not such a great time.
It didn't snow this time. Instead, it was 90 something degrees and humid. But still, I'm now a big big fan. What a difference it makes to attend something with enthusiasts.
I came home with items that now seem awfully thematic. Cute, vintagy, kitcheney, red. So fun. That cardboard grocery store is about two feet long of cuteness.
