That's me, bleating. When I see a good idea on a blog, and directly copy it, I do feel a bit of a sheep.
But these easter basket egg cartons on design mom were too good to pass up. Especially when the oldest two Arizona kids are serving church missions. They're focusing on the true meaning of Easter, so I thought I'd send some pagan ritual spring stuff their way. Easy-to-mail Easter baskets? That I can paint and feel like I'm in elementary school again? That will give me an excuse to buy more candy than I need? Oh yeah.
I was lucky. My local Fresh Market carries eggs in really nice egg cartons. Only the tops needed to be painted; the lids could be lined in fun paper.
They were so much fun to make, that I decided that my grandmother needs one, too. Shh. Don't tell her.
I unwrapped her candy and nestled it in candy cups so that she could help herself whenever she wants it. I love that it's color coordinated, and I'm quite proud that I did not try to color coordinate the boys' cartons!
Decorating eggs is next. More bleating to come.
