When Janet came to visit, I really wanted to make her a skirt. I've had "Sew What! Skirts" on my shelf for a while now, and finally I had a willing volunteer.
More than a month later, I'm nearly done. It's a ridiculously simple a-line skirt, and I still don't understand why it takes me so long to insert a zipper, sew up some side seams and add a waistband. Although a trip to Utah, one to CA, one to NYC, teaching seminary, and getting publicity done for an upcoming church picnic might have something to do with it.
All that's left is the hem, and I need opinions. I made up some binding, and the blue is perfect. The background of the binding, however, is a little more beige than the skirt fabric. The color is pretty accurate in the picture. So - is the beige a nice little punch? Or should I just do a narrow hem and quick obsessing?
