I was so hoping I'd be one of the lucky recipients of saucy's ironing board. I knew that it would be perfect set in front of the needlework shop, a favorite souvenir from Covent Garden.
The ironing board is just as wonderful as promised - with a measuring tape, little patterns, and button cards. And there was even more for my collection, such as Corinne's ingenious little magnetic inspiration board; I've already made a miniature Ottobre magazine to put on it. And that pink felt backpack by Heather is filled with craft store goodies - scissors, yarn, fabric, and toothpick needles. I can also fill the backpack up with the beach stuff or school stuff that she sent.
Up 'til now, the only other part of my collection was the matchbox lacemaking scene from Germany:
Someday, I want to make my own matchbox scenes or dioramas. Oh, the dreams that I have. Recently, the needlework shop has been hidden behind piles of mail. Maybe this winter I'll get my act together and put it all on permanent display!
Still more to come!
