As long as we're on the baking theme...
Little apple crisps, made in muffin papers for the church party. I was really happy that these were so easy and fast, and that they turned out so well. You need wax-lined papers, though - otherwise the butter seeps through a bit. I dropped these off and headed over to our local production of the Nutcracker (one of my students was dancing in it).
Do you have a favorite version of the Nutcracker? Mine is Mark Morris' The Hard Nut. I have the DVD, but someday I must see it in person. I could watch the snowflakes throw confetti every day. Well, I have watched it every day for about two weeks. But imagine seeing it live!
