I cooked a little this weekend: I have leftover creamy chocolate cake from dinner with friends; recipe from Dorie Greenspan found here.
Not to mention leftover maple-caramel corn and leftover salted almond meringues (from the most recent issue of Cooks Illustrated), left over from a Valentines party on Friday that I was obligated to attend. The few and the hardy who were dumb enough to brave the snow brought desserts; then we were handed construction paper and crayons and told to make valentines.
I also made roast lemon chicken with croutons (from the Barefoot Contessa's Paris cookbook), and caramelized butternut squash (from her first cookbook), but somehow I don't ever seem to photograph the healthy stuff.
Leftover chocolate cake, meringues, and popcorn? Today, my office likes me.
