I can't' post much - I'm trying to get a report out the door again, and I've been working everyday except Sunday. Don't feel too sorry for me, though: I spent part of last week working in NYC, and at the Statue of Liberty. Can't complain about that!
I did get time to buy plants and plant plants. I like buying much better than planting, so I bought more than I planted. So now I have new annuals AND new roses (roses are pretty much annuals for me, but I like them):
And look - things that were planted last year actually survived, including the peonies my parents and I bought at a little farm in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
Here's one of my favorites.
It's a tiny little remnant of the hens and chickens that my parents brought to me a few years ago. Their hens and chickens came from my aunt, who got hers from my grandmother in Idaho, and there's a chance that grandma's came from mu great-grandmother's garden in Nevada. Three generations of a plant, and it's still trying to live! I'm not worried about losing it - there's more where it came from. I'm just happy to see it.
